"Maidarumi Mya" is a Daruma cat that appears in Happy with a Cat, transformed into an Edo Kabuki actor who flourished in Edo (Tokyo) during the Edo period.
Edo Kabuki, the model for the play, flourished as entertainment for the common people, and even today, the kabuki theaters (house names) established during the Edo period are still passed down through the generations.
